· As you might have experienced that, displaying an Image from BLOB field is a painful job as you needed to write separate ASHX files to dump the Binary Content from your SQL BLOB to the response stream. And if you changed the Database, you needed to rewrite the code for ASHX file. SpiceLogic BLOB & FILE Control will not only display your Images directly from your SQL Blob, but also it will create Thumbnails on the fly if requested by setting a property.

Roll over image effect:

Now, you can simply bind the byte [] BlobData property of this control to your VarBinary or any byte[] datatype of your DataSource and place this control in your DataBound Container Control like GridView or DetailsView. Your DataSource varbinary field Image will be displayed in your browser as you wish. You can also Update/Insert new Blob records using this control (Setting Upload Mode=true) without writing any code. You will feel as if you are using data bound Picture Box control in Windows Form Application where Picture Box's Image property is directly bound to a byte[] type field of your data source. · Just think about it, you are storing PDF files or eBooks in your SQL BLOB type Field and want to render a Hyperlink which will prompt the user to download the file if the Hyperlink is clicked, and you want to execute your business logic (Server Side Click Event Handler Method) simultaneously. You can implement this functionality simply by setting some properties. For example, you may want to send an email to admin simultaneously when the file will be downloaded from the client browser if the hyperlink is clicked. In this way, you can generate programmable hyperlink which will allow your registered 'logged in' user to download your digital product for a limited number of times and the links can not be shared.

Secured and programmable hidden download link:
· if you are selling e-book or software products that you want your user to download in a secured page after payment, you can set the FileName programmatically any value you want and render the link at that secure page. So, when your user download the file, you can disable the link for the future and thus your user wont be able to download from the same link again and he or she wont have any idea from where the file was downloaded and thus he or she cant even share the link.
· This control never creates any temporary file in your server so you wont need to worry about setting any WRITE permission to your web folders. There are some solutions available in the market which allows you to encrypt downloadlink or generate dynamic download link for software sales or eBook sales which really requires you to make a temporary folder in your server with Write permission etc... · You want to upload an image and your image may need to be resized to a manageable size after upload, and also you may want to convert the uploaded image to a better ImageFormat like PNG etc, all you can do by setting some properties. Not only that, you may add an event handler method for FileUploaded Event and the event will be fired as soon as a file is uploaded successfully. No Temporary file is created in your server:
· This control never and never creates any temporary files in your server so that you don't need to worry about setting Write permission in any of your server folder.

Enhanced Design time functionality:
