· Dictation: The students listen to the recording and type what they hear. A warning sound will be heard if they type a wrong letter.
· ACE Files: Files used by ACE are created using a seperate program: ACEM. It sync sound recording with the texts. People who learn a foreign language by self-teaching would find that, the very process of syncing recording with text is a great way to improve their listening ability.


ACE manage files as "Books" and "Lessons". For example, you may have a book titled "English 900", which has 60 lessons. Each lesson has 15 text lines and a MP3 file. The text lines and sync informations between the text lines and the MP3 recordings are stored in ACE files.

In the licensed package, you will find two program files: ACE.exe and ACEM.exe. You should create a speical foder for the two program files. "Book" folders will be created under this special folder, and ACE files and MP3 files will be saved in respective "Book" folders.
