Bill of Materials 1.0 Description:

Bill of Materials will help you prepare the billof material lists for AutoCAD drawings with an Excel spreadsheet. The multi-drawing capability allows part totals across a series of drawings. To create the BOM lists the cad operator works with simple text objects instead of attributes and blocks.

The Bill of Materials program uses AutoCAD14 or later and Excel to extract text from a .DWG file. Therefore, the AutoCAD14 and Excel applications must both be present on your Win98/95 or later system.

Initially, run Set Up from the BOM menu and then save the program. This sets the reference library and only has to be done once. Note: the program extracts only single line text on a layer named "bom".

If you encounter installation problems, please run the diagnostic.xls program and email the text results to: tensor@canoemail.com

The diagnostic program opens and closes AutoCAD, lists error messages, version numbers and file pathnames. This information allows us to make a software patch for your type of situation.
