The WinSched software was designed to be an application launcher. WinSched is used to execute applications/batch files/scripts in situations where the operating system's scheduled launching ability is inadequate.

WinSched runs as a service, so continues to run if no users are logged in, or the machine is restarted. WinSched can also be configured to run as an AD or local user.
