The Bounce Metronome application can be used anything from a basic steady metronome tick all the way up to the most complex rhythms. That includes rhythms with swing, dance rhythms, polyrhythms and additive rhythms.

The user interface is extremely user friendly. You'll be able to get started with it right away. For blind users and those who don't work visually very much, there is an alternative interface designed for you -you can play all the same rhythms as a sighted user

· Steady Metronome tick, and the commonly encountered rhythms: 2/4, 3/4, 4/4, 6/8, 9/8, 12/8
· Gravity Bounce Visuals - including 3D Bouncing Ball and conductor baton style graphics
· Adjust individual beat times
· Skip any beat in the rhythm - e.g. for syncopated rhythms etc.
· Adjust numbers of beats in each part and number of parts, with up to sixteen parts played simultaneously, each with a different numbers of beats per bar
· Set instruments individually for each part
· Silence any individual part and hide the bouncing graphics for any individual part
· Song Car Tunes type Lyrics with the ball bouncing on the words
· Bouncing ball following Conducting style patterns
· Other bounce styles such as bounce inside or outside oval.
· Choice of visuals for the ball as disk or ball, bouncing stars, bouncing beat numbers, bouncing beat number words etc
· Randomised fractal tune to get an idea of what the rhythm sounds like melodically
· Play the randomised tune in any tuning including e.g. Gamelan scales, Indian scales, historical temperaments etc.
· Set amounts of Tremolo, and Modulation (vibrato) for each part
· Play any number of harmonic metronomes in a cycle one after another, each for as many bars as you like
· Set minimum and maximum pitch for each part separately for the fractal tunes.
· Play on several out devices at once, and choose which of the parts to play on each device
· All the preset Wave Shape Player Instruments
· Get rhythm from a recording of notes played in that rhythm (e.g. from a recording of a "groove")
· Tap out a new rhythm for the metronome using pc keyboard, mouse, or midi input device.
· Tap out the tempo for the player (similarly) - tempo of the rhythm adjusts to the tempo of your taps
· Customise the tempo dial with your own tempo names, and tempo markings for each tempo
· Black on White or White on Black visuals for visually impaired users
· Adjust any of the colours for any of the graphics
· Use any texture or image for the background for the skin - also any colour for the text, and make your own custom skin icons for play, animate, etc.
· Adjust synchronisation of the visuals with audio - this is useful if your soundcard has noticeable latency, you can then add the same amount of latency to the visuals so that both are exactly in time.
· Customisable Splash effect, shadows and squash effect for the gravity bounce graphics
· Support for the Roland GS and Yamaha XG type extensions of the GM midi instruments list and customise the instruments menu to suit your soundcard, synth or other device
