CyD Careful Observer 2.0 Description:

CyD Careful Observer software will help you monitor connections with specified computers.

When a connection is broken, a specofied action is carried out: a message or an audio signal issued, an e-mail sent, a program executed, the computer rebooted etc.

CyD Careful Observer continuously monitors specific host availability. When network errors occur, Check hosts can alert the network administrator by e-mail or by sound alerts. If a host does go down, Check hosts automatically notifies the administrator or operator and writes a detailed log which you can save to file on your hard disk.

· Ping - The ping command verifies connections to remote computer, router or other network components by sending ICMP (Internet Control Message Protocol) echo packets to the computer and listening for echo reply packets. If you want to check a remote network component in common, you have to define server IP address (e.g. 192.168.100.1) or name (e.g. www.cydsoft.com). You may choose Packet Size, Timeout, TTL.
· TCP Connect - You can check specific TCP/IP service such as HTTP, FTP or any other. You have to enter server address and port to be checked. You can use either string (e.x. www.cydsoft.com) or dotted notation (e.x. 192.168.100.1) in server address.
· URL Request - Careful Observer can do a URL (Universal Resource Locator) check based on the HTTP (web) or FTP protocols. A URL should be something like: http://www.cydsoft.com/index.phpl
· Drive space - Select drive that is to be checked, and specify minimum free space value.
· Folder/File size - Careful Observer can check folder or file size. To add this task enter folder name and specify a maximum size.
· You can manually type in the complete path to the folder that you wish to test, or click on the "Browse" button to the right and you will be presented dialog window for select folder. Also you can select option "Include sub-folders" and program will calculate size for folder and all sub-folders in this folder.
· Folder/File present - Careful Observer can check for a file that must exist each time the test is run, or check for a file that must not exist each time the test is run. Select "File exists" as test type and enter file or folder name. You can manually type in the complete path and filename that you wish to test, or click on the "Browse" button to the right and you will be presented a dialog for select file.
· Compare files - You can use this test to compare two files.
· Check database - This test check connection to any database. You should specify driver, server`s name, database name, login and password

CyD Careful Observer 2.0 Limitations:

· If you are not registered, you can start the program only 30 times. After 30 starts, the program cannot be started
