ETKit Chameleon is a collection of small applications which helps users to  view, edit, split and build files. Its continuous file backup feature is great for creating version backups of important files. Use the directory/folder tracker to monitor changes to files and folders on your computer.

Archiving Tools - utilities for safely archiving and backing up source code & other important files
File Tools - utilities for viewing, editing, splitting, splicing, renaming, redating & modifying files
Security Tools - utilities for verifying file integrity and generating secure, pronounceable passwords
The menu running across the top of the ETKit Chameleon window is largely self explanatory. Some of the more important menu items are described in detail below
View→Show Toolbox - Some of the utilities in ETKit Chameleon consume too much space to display properly on 800 x 600 screens. Unchecking this menu item hides the tree view to the left of the main window and liberates sufficient space to display all the content.
Options→User Preferences - Click on this menu item to change the password used for ETKit backups and the folder used to store them.
Help→Check Current Version - Click on this menu item to check information regarding the latest version of ETKit Chameleon.
