GMBA Maze 1.2 Description:

Start with a simple one for the kid. Then you can generate another slowly increase the complexity and size by increasing the size of the window. Print the solution at once - so you can give hints.

GMBA Maze will generate new mazes as fast as the window is increased or decreased in size. For the kid that find it funny to find solutions, this program is an infinites source of mazes.

When GMBA Maze is started the first maze is generated. It is ready to print. And if you need to have a solution at hand, just press Ctrl-F (Edit Menu/ Find path) and the solution is shown.

New mazes are generated each time Ctrl-N is pressed (File Menu/ New Maze) OR each time the window is resized. Decrease the complexity by making the window smaller, increase the complexity by enlarging the window. New mazes are generated dynamically. Also the complexity can be further controlled by the door size in the options menu Ctrl-1 to Ctrl-6 (Options menu / Door size 1-6).

GMBA Maze 1.2 Features:

· Speed
A slow and a fast version for finding / showing the solution. Simple to understand and use. Remember to set speed to fast for complex mazes.

· Door choice
When finding the solution this option tells the solution algorithm to either always keep left first when seeking a new path, keep right - or make a random choice. It will however not affect the final solution - only the way of getting there. And also influences the drawing for tracking.

· Tracking
If this flag is set GMBA Maze will show its tracking mechanism, while finding a solution. In the picture below, Door Choice is set to Right first, and tracking is on.

· Level
Can be set to Easy or Hard. Basically two different set of algorithms are used to generate mazes. While the easy version seems to divide into smaller rectangular mazes within a maze and thereby hinting solutions, the hard level has no such hints.
