Java E-Mail Newsgroup Digest Reader is a smart program that helps you to manage e-mail digests from newsgroups.

· The program can be "trained" to recognize the lines of text used to separate each article. Most newsgroup digest programs place some marker between the articles. You can place the program in "train" mode and tell it which contiguous lines constitute the separator.

At the same time, you also tell the program to look for a particular string near the start of the news digest in order to "auto-recognize" the newgroup and use the appropriate separator template. Once the program is "trained", you should only have to open a new file in "auto-recognize" mode and the program should be able to determine which template to use and separate out the messages.

· The program can try to separate articles by using the e-mail headers only, particularly looking for "Subject:" and "Date:" headers. This method is not particularly reliable. This method was used by the previous versions of the program.

· Once the program is "trained" (see item 1 above) you can force a newsgroup digest to be separated using a particular template. This option bypasses the "auto-recognize" mode.
