PC Sleep 2.1 Description:

PC sleep is a "Sleep" timer for your computer. Automated Shutdown, Restart, Log Off, Standby, and Hibernate Windows functions in a GUI, user friendly environment.

This utility is particularly good for long downloads where you would like your computer to shut down after a certain amount of hours, playing music before you go to bed, or any other reason you might need it.

Just select a function, enter when you want it to be executed, (at a certain time of day, or in a certain amount of time), and click start.

After following these steps, you can leave your computer and PC Sleep will safely perform the selected function in the entered amount of time with no effort on your part.

A noticeable pop-up window will appear when there is one minute left on the timer. The same window will pop-up if no time is selected; giving you 30 seconds to stop the timer before PC Sleep executes the selected function.

Hi, I'm the creator of the ever-obscure PC Sleep software utility. The first version of this software was developed by me years ago for Windows 98 because I liked listening to music from my computer before I fell asleep.

The problem with that was my computer's fan would always wake me up in the middle of the night. I decided to develop a utility to shutdown my PC in a selected amount of time.

You can imagine my satisfaction after its first use. Maybe not... but I can. haha. Since then I was online looking through various things at http://www.codeproject.com/ one day, and noticed a utility similar to mine developed by Suneth Mendis, who developed his "Auto Shutdown" program from other various other examples of code along w/ his own innovations.

I used a lot of his design to create the second version of PC Sleep. PC Sleep 2.0 is obviously a second version of PC Sleep 1, and, in my opinion, an expansion of Suneth Medis' "Auto Shutdown".

So kudos to Suneth for inspiring the second version of PC Sleep! Let's not forget that it wouldn't look much different than the old Win 98 version w/ out the great artwork of Chase Dudley. Thanks to all who've helped to make this utility better.
