RecAll Pro 1.6 Description:

The most common problem for new users of RecAll Pro is understanding the Vox (voice-activation) slider control.  This adjusts the sound level intensity at which recording begins.  This is useful for recording situations where there might be a lot of "dead air" time that doesn't need to be recorded to hard disk, wasting useful disk space.  It is easy to disable the Vox feature: set it to zero, and recording will be fully manual.  Many new users, assuming this is some kind of volume control, set Vox too high, so nothing gets recorded.
