Spelling Teacher 1.1 Description:

I designed and wrote Spelling Teacher for my sons, after I couldn’t find a program that would actually teach him to spell. All the other software are big on animated characters and graphics, but to me they miss the ability to quickly teach people how to spell.

I’m not teacher, but I’m very interested in helping my son learn. This program I believe is the “magic bullet” to teach spelling, which is in most cases just raw memorization utilizing multiple learning techniques.
 
Additionally, I believe I’ve created a very easy way for you to add new lesions to the program on your own. I should take you less time than filling out a set of flash cards and you’ll have a lesson that the student can work at on there own.

When the user is first brought to the screen the program will show the first word in the lesson and then play the recording for that word, which is usually the word followed by it being used in a sentence. Then the program will spell the word. You can replay the recording at any time by pressing the “Say It Again” button.

The user will then type in the correct spelling of the word and press “Enter” or click the “Next” button. If they spelled it correctly the program will then spell the word and go to the next line.

The user will have to enter the spelling correctly three times before the program will allow to you move to the next work. To move to the next work simply press the “Enter” key or click the next button when it be enabled.

If the user needs to exit the test at anytime, simply press the little “X” button in the lower right corner. If the user exits the practice, they will have to re-practice all words again next time for this lesson.
