TimeRC 1.6 Description:

The TimeRC application was designed to be a time client which synchronizes your PC clock with a number of time servers from around the world.

TimeRC uses your connection to the Internet to get the exact time from an SNTP server. The timestamp is obtained using the Transmission Control Protocol (TCP), which returns the time to the nearest second. The program then updates your system time to be synchronized with this timestamp.

Of course, TimeRC obtains your timezone and daylight savings settings from the windows registry instead of asking you to input them, as some other programs do. On the 'Status' page you will see a box containing the time, date, and timezone settings on your computer. If your timezone is currently running on daylight savings time, it will say so in this box.

Note: TimeRC will adjust your clock according to the timezone setting you have selected in the windows95 Date/Time properties.

Not only does TimeRC update your system time, it also computes daylight savings intervals, dates for meteor showers and full moons, and the moon's phase and age. The daylight savings feature will help to remind you of when to reset all your clocks.
