VideoMan 3.0 Description:

VideoMan is a complete rewrite of previous version undertaken primarily with the aim to provide user with capability to import-export video from DV cameras, and use modern video compression formats. This version is built on DirectXMedia API while previous version was based on VideoForWindows standard.

VideoMan provides a complete video-editing, movie capturing suite, offering the user many ways to customize his video experience.

The major improvement that comes with this version is the ability to export movies directly to Windows Media video files. Windows Media technology from Microsoft offers best solution for delivering high compression video and audio for such bandwidth-critical applications as streaming video over LAN or Internet, or playing movies on handheld devices.

Now you can easily create videos that can be played on PocketPC devices such as Ipaq or HP Jornada. Video Man comes with Pocket PC presets to help you create new project with optimal video and audio settings.

VideoMan comes with completely new Capturer module for import/output of video through capture boards and DV cameras. Video editing capabilities are significantly enhanced with features like unlimited number of overlay tracks, navigator window, super screen color keying, etc.

Considerable optimization was carried out to speed up rendering. All the additional power is packed under redesigned stylish interface which makes working with the program even easier than ever before.

· DV support requires Windows 98 SE, 2000 or higher version
· Intel Pentium with MMX compatible system (Pentium 4 recommended)
· 64MB RAM (128 or higher recommended)
· 20MB of available hard disk space required for installing (4GB or higher recommended)

Video capture and export:

DirectX:

· Video Man is based on DirectShow (earlier part of DirectX Media , now part of DirectX beginning from DirectX 8). DirectShow is an open architecture, which means that it can support any format as long as there are filters to parse and decode it. The filters provided by Microsoft, either as redistributables through DirectShow or as Windows operating system components, provide support for the following file and compression formats.
