VirtualStage is a software application that enables you to create your own virtual reality and, in particular, your own three dimensional (3D) animated plays, dramas, films and television productions. The drama is created in real-time, that is, as-it-happens and is recorded for subsequent playback.

The actions of the virtual actors are defined and directed by you, thus allowing an infinite range of possible gestures and movements. The actors' dialogue, also entered by yourself, is spoken using computer synthesized speech or recordings of real voices. You position and then control any number of cameras so that the performance can be viewed from any angle. The drama itself takes place against a backdrop that you will have designed.

· Design your own virtual theatre stages and film sets by combining 3D models of scenery and props
· Decorate the walls of sets using photographs from a digital camera or images created in a graphics package.
· Import your own 3D models of props.
· Set up a scene by choosing the set, configuring the lighting, placing the virtual actors and positioning the cameras
· Virtual actors perform each scene following the directions that you issue. You can make the actors walk and turn simply by using the mouse, show emotions with a simple key press or have them perform any of the gestures that you have previously defined by selecting from a popup menu.
· The actors' speech is generated by synthesized voices from compatible SAPI4 and SAPI5 speech engines using the dialogue that you enter.
· Edit scenes with the Timeline Editor. This powerful tool even lets you add actions and dialogue that were not there in the original performance.
· Replay scenes, or even entire productions, as often and whenever you like. Using third party software, you can even capture the replay as video.
· VirtualStage automatically generates a script or screenplay for your production based on the directions and dialogue that you entered for each scene.
