XL-Plot 3.03 Description:

The primary purpose of XL-Plot is to create a figure fast and easy. It is ideal for for use at high school, as the path from data in one or more spreadsheet columns to the final figure is short (just a few mouse clicks) and easy to grasp.
It contains basic statistical functions, such as Student's t-test and linear correlation of two sets of data (two columns in a spreadsheet). XL-Plot has a number of build-in functions that can be fitted to the data in columns on a spreadsheet or to a curve in a graph.

The user can easily add fitting functions of his own design.
Additional options are Fourier transformation, (de-)convolution, eigen decomposition and matrix inversion.
XL-Plot is the eXtra-Light version of Serf, a program more specifically meant for electrophysiologists.

XL-Plot 3.03 Features:

· Simple, intuitive "visual" program layout.
· Fast: No useless options, few dialogue windows, lots of short-cuts and hence a minimum of mouseclicking to do, resulting in a gain of time.
The program is build around two types of window each having its own menu:
· 1) Windows showing vector drawings (drawing sheets).
· 2) Windows showing columns of numerical data (spreadsheets).
· Items in the last two types of window may communicate such that a modification in a column in a spreadsheet results in a change in the associated vector graph, allowing easy editing.
· By using copy and paste functions from the menu, data from either window may be copied to a spreadsheet or to a drawing sheet resulting in a column of numbers or a graph respectively.
· The math library contains many useful functions such as convolution and deconvolution, Fourier transform, matrix inversion and eigen decomposition of a matrix.
· Statistical tests for data in spreadsheet columns: linear correlation, chi-2 test, Student's t-test, Fisher's F-test, Tukey's q-test (one-way anova).
· Bitmaps may be imported and manipulated on the drawing sheet.
· Graphics may be exported to other vector drawing programs.
· Curve fitting using either build-in or user-defined functions can be carried out in each of the two types of window.
· Data may be imported in (tab- or comma-delimited) ASCII format.
· With the JRTalk extension XL-Plot may be controlled by a program you have written in Visual Basic, Mediacy's IP+ script or C.
