The makeASX application was designed to be a small console utility that allows you to scan a folder (and its subfolders) and place all entries matching a specified filespec into a "*.asx" file. The ASX format is a playlist for Microsoft's Advanced Streaming Format (e.g. "*.asf" streams).

After compiling an ASX file you can simply double-click on the ASX and view all entries without requiring your interaction. Within Media Player you may skip to the next or previous entry with the Page-Down and Page-Up keys, respectively.
