ChromasPro 1.41 Description:

ChromasPro can open sequences in Applied Biosystems, Staden Chromatogram (SCF), Staden ZTR, MegaBace, FASTA, EMBL, GenBank, SwissProt, GenPept, GCG RSF and plain text formats. The sequence editor can display the sequence divided into groups of nucleotides or amino-acids, and the width of these may be changed using the Columns control in the toolbar.

ChromasPro is an application that allows you to open physics and mathematical sequences. The default is three characters, so that nucleotide sequences are divided into codons.

The nucleotide sequence toolbar also has a control for shifting the displayed reading frame. This setting is used for the translation display option, and for translating the entire sequence from the Analysis menu. Translations can be shown within the nucleotide sequence editor using the Show Translations setting in the Options menu.

If a file contains a chromatogram, the sequence will initially be opened in the sequence editor by default, and the chromatogram may be displayed using the Show Chromatogram button on the toolbar, or the option in the edit menu. The default can be changed to display both the sequence and chromatogram, or only the chomatogram, by selecting Settings from the Options menu.
