ID Window 1.0 Description:

ID Window (idwin.exe) is a self-contained and simple executable, that sits in the tray icon, and helps you identify the actual full path and filename of the executable that is controlling any window.

With the red "IW" icon showing in the tray icon, you can move your mouse pointer to the title bar of any window, and after pausing the pointer for a second, it will show the fully qualified pathname of the executable (e.g., c:windowsexplorer.exe).

If the window does not have a title bar, hovering the mouse anywhere on the window will result in showing the caption with the full pathname, at the tray.

Context Menu Options
Enable - You can temporarily disable ID Windows by right-clicking on the red IW and selecting the "Enabled" item with a checkmark next to it. This removes the checkmark and disables the display of captions.

To re-enable the caption, select the same "Enabled" item without a checkmark. This will re-enable the checkmark and re-enable the functionality of the caption.
